Year 3 – Week 35 – Day 7

Some cute Trevor-talk from today:

ME: “Oops, we are out of dish soap.”
TREVOR: “Oh no!! Call a fire truck!”

Later in the day, I leave my coffee mug on the window sill with about an inch of coffee left in the bottom. Trevor chugs it.

ME: “Did you just finish all that coffee?”
TREVOR (with best innocent face): “I was THIRSTY!”

We had a very active morning. First, I built a cushion-fort-ball-pit with the fold out couch. It worked great except we will be needed more balls!

Then it was only 9:30am! I ask Trevor what we should do with our day and he said without prompting, “Go to IKEA.” So we did! Stupid me did not bring a camera and then I left my cell phone in the car, so I don’t have any IKEA pictures. It was Brendan’s first time! Mary Alyn went along to give me a hand. Both boys loved the adventure.

The good news is that our nursing schedule for the next few weeks should be all worked out. We won’t have any cold fill-ins anymore, just people that we have now met. The nurse from Monday that did not work out showed up at our door this morning. There was some very awkward moments until we got it settled that she wasn’t working here today. There was some kind of misunderstanding on her part. I just hate that feeling!

Tonight we made some mac & cheese. Brendan tells Eins to be on standby.

He actually did a good job licking it, picking up noodles, smooshing them, and stabbing them. Then he dumped out the whole bowl and licked the cheese sauce. He ate half of a pouch of Banana/Raspberry/Pear puree too. I am very happy to see him moving in the right direction again!

Trying to wear Trevor out continues to backfire. He took a short nap, even after being out all morning and walking the whole store. He doesn’t recharge with sleep, but a very active schedule makes him eat a LOT! He had a big bowl of mac.

I really hope Trevor sleeps past six, I am so drowsy!
