Trevor slept in until 8:30 this morning, and I had to go wake him up! Brendan was up early and he woke up in a fit of a mood. I knew I was in trouble if I did not come up with something active to do.
So I got the idea from Trevor – we would go to the airport! Where else can two adults and two kids go enjoy themselves all morning in cool air conditioning with lots of entertainment for $5 parking?
Trevor is the pro on the SkyTrain now, he wants to sit and hold on all by himself.

Brendan was not so sure, he was not letting go of Nurse Stephanie’s shirt!!

The train station at the terminal is a cool place with a great view of the runways and several gates where the planes are buzzed around by lots of little vehicles. There was even some construction going on.

Trevor told Brendan that he would show him around!

Trevor will ride escalators until they wear out. Brendan – not so sure!

He would not put his feet down! If Stephanie lowered him, he would lift his legs even higher.

After a couple of tries, he finally stood by himself.

The call it the SkyTrain because it is at Sky Harbor Airport, but also because it goes up up up to some really high bridges!

We rode the complete circuit and saw the remote terminal. It was a very cool building.

I think Brendan had a really good time. We walked all over the terminal, it was like a huge mall. We spent some time in the toy store, did more escalators, people watching, and walking.
At home, the boys took decent naps, uninterrupted by the oxygen refill that came. Then they read books together.

But then they got a little crabby.

We loved having a video chat with Gramma and Grampa. The boys got to demonstrate their special “tricks” and be hyper. Brendan has therapy tomorrow so we won’t be able to do anything quite so adventurous, but we really enjoyed our outing today!
