Of course, not until Friday! But today was trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. It was a completely gorgeous day, sunny and about 65 degrees. Friday is forecast to be a high of 44 degrees, so this was far better.
Kayla went for the easy costume this year. She decided to be a Greek demigod from the Percy Jackson book series. Hence the Camp Half-Blood t-shirt, jeans, sword, and shield.
Ashley wanted to be a character that Grampa should recognize right away (and maybe Uncle Bill too!).
The Hylean Shield and Sword, the green hat? It’s Link from Legend of Zelda!
We borrowed the boots from a colleague of mine at work. SIZE 7 LADIES!!!!! She had to wear some thick socks, but they worked!
After they all got tired trick-or-treating, a whole horde of teens and pre-teens descended on our house. The teens all played poker in the basement, using their unwanted candy as their bankroll for betting. All left happy with the results.
To enjoy this possibly last beautiful day, I finally raked the huge leaf pile in the front yard. I filled 4 leaf bags packed full! While raking, I glanced at my neighbor’s house.
Bad dog!
Bad, bad dog!
Sort of makes me wonder…
