Today was a blur, just trying to make sure I did everything right was exhausting. We had an appointment at the cardiologist today with an EKG and an echocardiogram. The great news is that both were really good and he doesn’t have to go back now for 2 months. It is just a lot of worry packing Brendan to travel. Did I pack enough oxygen, will the batteries last, did I take the meds? The more quick and efficient I get at packing him, the more I worry that I will overlook something.
The sweet little perfect baby Brendan slept right through his echo and the tech got beautiful images and a good look at everything they needed! (unlike the last echo that he screamed through and they had to stop early!)

Trevor had to stay home and help Daddy work. Of course there was silliness involved.

Trevor also demonstrated to us that he knows perfectly well how to crawl, he just needed proper motivation. He was getting across the room so fast, I couldn’t even get the video started in time for most of his passes. He is good at it.
On top of the big day of travelling, Brendan had a video chat with family and then had to go for his physical therapy. He was in a good mood and learned a lot today about sitting and weight bearing in his arms.
He learned how to lean side to side and put his hands down to support himself.

He is working on his strength training

He is really good at paying attention, even though he occasionally got distracted by the colorful rug.

Methadone/Ativan weaning has officially been put on hold for now. Since Brendan has to go in for surgery, he is going to need all of the narcotics again anyway. So we are going to stay on the current doses and focus on just getting him strong and healthy for surgery day. We are looking forward to more happy no-withdrawal Brendan days.
We are going to get rid of a few other drugs though, further simplifying things. It is a good thing to make progress somewhere.
