Week 39 – Day 3

Before I start today’s update, I wanted to point out the new sidebar on the blog. I have updated all of the photos from every past day in to albums. I really enjoy going through the history and looking at the progress we have made without having to go post by post through the blog.
The albums are broken in to each week, and each photo can be commented on individually. I’ll be working on getting all of the videos linked too!

We are still enjoying the change in Brendan since the feeding tube was moved. He still gets clingy in the morning and has a few bad spells but he did a lot of his silent laughing today.
Trevor was actually the crankypants all morning. He woke up on the wrong side of the crib I guess. He is very active and curious and wants to be walking and getting in to everything already. He is always on the move.

Brendan is almost too big for his bucket swing now!

Trevor’s activities have landed him in baby jail

He really liked it

This baby is not the least bit spoiled

He is chewing on a cold gel pack

Brendan was feeling well enough that he was able to sprint off the vent today. It has been over a week since we have been able to do this. He did 50 minutes, which was a great start!

He was so cute today. The only time he got really cranky was during his speech therapy. The therapist touched his face with this little buzzer pen and he had enough of her. She lost his trust.

When he got to the middle of his therapy hour, he was falling asleep. He rested a lot today after being up so late partying the night before!

Week 39 – Day 2

The change in the feeding tube has definitely made a huge difference in Brendan today. He still has spells of agitation and crying and seems to want to be held and rocked more than usual, but when he is happy, he is giddy and smiling. He is still up tonight (now 10:11PM!) kicking and playing and biting toys.

Trevor had some fun in the bath this morning with his fountain toy.

Brendan was finally feeling good enough to come down on the floor for some play time in space

Trevor really likes to shake the whole apparatus for Brendan’s entertainment

Brendan wants to sit up and play the way Trevor does, but then he was looking for where Trevor went

There he is!

Trevor likes the monkey on his face

I am hoping that Brendan sleeps really well tonight for all this spazzing. He is never up this late!

Week 39 – Day 1

Brendan had a pretty restless night and a pretty crappy morning. I spent the whole first half of the day holding him and rocking in between suctioning. He was improved over yesterday though, so that was a good thing. It was enough to keep him out of the clinic/hospital.
As long as I kept him comforted in my lap, he was able to sleep. Getting plenty of rest seemed to be what he needed because by this evening, he woke up in a downright silly mood. He was very bright and smiley again and made me feel a lot better. Heart rate is coming down more and more, breathing is getting better. No vomiting, I definitely have a much better day when there is less sour formula smell.

Brendan always takes comfort in petting his little lion buddy

He tells it little secrets

“Go away, I am talking to the lion!”

Trevor got tired of waiting for lunch, so he decided to call for some take out

He got a bucket of tater-tots and proceeded to scatter them on the floor

Mmmm… peppermint tot

They were so good, he had to lick the bucket

Brendan found the whole thing to be silly.

Of course, he was being a couch potato in his bouncy chair looking down at the goings-on

Trevor and his teddy bear

Trevor loves his dogs. Quinn is starting to trust him a little more, especially when he is allowed up on the couch.
