Year 2 – Week 17 – Day 6

Just when you think things will settle down…
Our poor day nurse has a family member with strep, so she isn’t working with Brendan this week. I was a little nervous about the day with Bill gone to the office and no help but the boys were nice to me.

Brendan was inundated with visitors today. His PT got moved to this morning and he did a nice job with some kneeling exercises. Shortly after that, Aunt Heather stopped in for a quick visit before having to go to the airport. I think he thought it was more therapy and he was NOT in the mood!

Both boys were reluctant to get pictures with their aunt!

I thought maybe a box of “Smile” was what Brendan needed.

Trevor needs his “Brendan did it” tshirt!

Trevor took a nice 2hr nap but Brendan only slept about 35 minutes. He was very playful and smiling until his OT showed up. He cried almost his entire session!
This is what he does with tummy time whenever therapists are here.
“Oh, my big heavy head, I just can’t lift it!”

This is what he does the moment they walk out the door! Little stinker!!

Brendan has his appointment for next Wednesday to have his feeding tube procedure. That is going to be a crazy day but it will be such a good thing for him!

Year 2 – Week 17 – Day 5

Some days make my head spin! Bill had a lot more work to do with his sisters today so this morning the goal was to wear the boys out so they would take long naps. (hahaha, right!)

I took Trevor to Target, the gas station and through a car wash. He didn’t cry this time, he had that pumping bottom cry-lip but I reached back and held his hand and he was OK. Then we went to the big duck park so he could play.

First we fed the ducks

Then to the swings!

Then he checked out the animals in the water-play area. This whole blue padded region has a bunch of water fountains that shoot up from the ground and also from the animal statues. The water is just not on yet for the season.

He looked so cute toddling all around in his little jeans

He pet the dolphins

On our way back to the car, we had to stop and wait for the train

It was a full train today! It was a holiday and the weather was beautiful so it was a perfect day to be at the park. It just kept getting busier and busier.

So of course the boys take short naps. I kept them occupied this afternoon with books.

And they watched some Baby Signing Time on the iPad.

Trevor was climbing around and tried to sit on Brendan’s lap

So he got chomped!!

Brendan had to give his brother a little back rub and say he was sorry.

I had to put the iGuy up higher to keep Trevor from pushing the button. So then he just had to stand on the table.

We worked Brendan today. He did a ton of tummy time and standing. He has PT tomorrow morning instead of Thursday. It is going to be a busy day!!

Year 2 – Week 17 – Day 4

Going straight to pictures today..

Brendan only looks like he is reading an animal book upside down, but it is really his journal of mischievous plans.

I was trying to take a picture of Trevor in his cute crab outfit but I was obviously standing in his way

Brendan loves to crash blocks and I was trying to motivate him to crawl.

So far he just likes to scoot backwards!

While I wasn’t looking, Brendan stacked the blocks up. He is trying to outdo his brother in advanced block stacking.

“Theeeyyyy’re Heeere.” Wait, wrong movie!

This is Trevor’s self portrait.

Trevor loves his tunnels. He needs his cousins to build him a fort.

It was just me and the boys this afternoon and I did my best to keep them entertained without TV. They are just all go go go.
Bill’s sisters are all in town to clean up and prep their dad’s old house for sale. They have a lot of work to do too. Same plan tomorrow!

Gramma’s package is back in Los Angelas again! Tuesday it will be three weeks from the day I sent it priority mail. I am just in utter disbelief!
