Year 2 – Week 33 – Day 4

The week is already going by quickly. I didn’t take out my camera once today, Gramma took all of the adorable pictures.
Everyone continues to improve a little, there are still coughs lingering and Brendan is still needing 4L O2.

Brendan is sporting one of his new shorts onesies

Trevor is responding to “what does a horse say?”

Brendan is climbing in to Trevor’s play space!

There were fights

Super innocent boy

Somebody went to Costco this afternoon and ate a wide variety of samples for his afternoon snack. That same someone may not have had a good appetite for dinner.

Brendan was wondering why everyone was in the kitchen but him

Trevor is helping with the dishes

He’s all ready for bed, only thing left to do is play some piano

Brendan drank some drips of milk out of a bottle!

Trevor says, “Bro, I will show you how it is done”

It is a good day when there are cute pictures and not a lot to report!

Year 2 – Week 33 – Day 3

Both boys are on the mend still today, and BOY OH BOY was Trevor an ultra-crabtastic grump-opatomus. He was super quick to tantrum.

He still could be adorable too. He was playing hide and seek with Gramma outside, counting.

“Ready or not, here I come!”

“That’s right, I am going to swing!” He did swing and loved it.

Here’s a video montage of some of the day’s silliness.

It is wonderful to have Gramma here with extra hands, although at some moments I still feel like with three adults and two babies, the babies are still winning! I was able to do a HUGE amount of work on the old office room this afternoon. I have hoarded too much stuff and got rid of bags and bags of garbage. I am very excited to rein in all the mess and move only good stuff to the new room. The playroom is not so far away!

After dinner bath sillies:

Trevor saw that Brendan got in after he got out and he decided he wanted back in

While I was cleaning, I found the cube flop toy and gave it back to Trevor. We have had it on the shelf for a long time. He LOVED it and kept climbing through it.

Every day, we hope that we all get healthier and then STAY healthy for more than a few weeks this time.

Year 2 – Week 33 – Day 2

It was very good to sleep in my own bed and know that Brendan was in the next room. He is doing well and recovering. Bill was still feeling extra miserable and I made him see the doctor today. He is now on a z-pak for his sinus infection.
Trevor woke up with thick green goo glooping from his nose so we called the pediatrician and they said they could see him in 20 minutes. We flew out the door and got him straight over there.
He has a little sinus infection too and started taking his first ever bubble gum flavored amoxicillin. It doesn’t seem to have changed much since I used to take it as a kid. Other than his poor sinuses, the doctor said careful someone doesn’t trip over his giant pouty lip.

Brendan was not really himself today. His little face is puffy and flushed because of the steroid he is taking. He just seems a little groggy and distant at times, but he is way more active than he has been all week.

I broke out a play rug I bought for the new playroom to see if the boys would like it.

Trevor being sick doesn’t get him out of doing his chores! Good thing he was feeling better!

Just because he looks so cute doesn’t mean he didn’t throw some colossal fits of rolling and crying and flopping. I will take a video of one of those fits one day.

We made a first attempt to get a picture of Gramma and the boys today. They were not interested in cooperating!

Brendan is still unsure with all the changes and new people and recent hospital stay. Gramma promised him that she wasn’t another therapist and he raised an eyebrow at her with a “that’s what they all say” attitude. He is slowly letting his guard down.

Tonight before bed, the boys got some silly play time. They had to watch the video of their cousin Caleb saying “Crazzzyy” about 27 times. They still love it.

Brendan is still on 4L of O2 with his vent, but he is keeping his numbers steady. There was not a single vomit today! He just had his last dose of the steroid so maybe tomorrow he will start to feel more like himself!
