Year 2 – Week 33 – Day 7

There are lots of cute pictures today. It was just another busy day.

Trevor started the day with a motorcycle ride

Brendan shows off another cute romper

Trevor was just trying to enjoy his lunch

And then the mustard attacked

“phew, I narrowly escaped!”

Trevor and Gramma had an outing this morning, shopping! Trevor stole Gramma’s drink when she wasn’t looking.

Then he had to go show Brendan his victory

Trevor plays with his new bath bugs

Brendan liked the bugs but not the net to catch them in

Gramma picked out some ultra cute fleece to cover the crib mattress play mat and I was able to sew it up today while Trevor was on his outing. He loved it!

Both boys find it to be a great movie watching spot

Brendan’s numbers are still improving steadily and he is definitely acting more like himself. His new nurses are working out well and Brendan is accepting them so far. I can’t believe Gramma’s visit is half over already. It is going too fast!!

Year 2 – Week 33 – Day 6

Tuesdays used to be a lot crazier. We are still waiting for Brendan’s therapies to resume, we have a meeting next Wednesday with his new team leader.

Dr. Trevor was checking himself out this morning. Temperature, check. Pulse-ox, check.

I ordered some work boots for both boys for the fall because they were on a killer sale. Trevor tried his on. At first, he was unimpressed.

After clomping around in them a while, he decided he liked them

It was another day of “Inventory Undo”. We took all the toys out and found all the pieces for everything except for the letter U. Trevor was swimming in toys.

The toys are more fun when they are all dumped out of the toy box

This ball dropper had been put up for a few months. Trevor thought it was pretty awesome now.

We got our warning text message: “Incoming Garbage”
We were outside in time to see the truck approaching. The driver must wonder how Trevor does it.

“Hi, truck!”

Dumping the cans is so cool

Brendan thinks Trevor is silly, he just hasn’t been outside to see the truck

Sometimes the boys play nice together, sometimes there is big time jealousy and fighting

Bill and I took Brendan to his pediatrician for a follow up on his illness. His ears were looking good, his lungs sounded beautiful. The doc says that parainfluenza is a tough bug and that once the virus is gone, yucky cold symptoms set in and secondary infections (like what Trevor has) are common. He said Brendan should start making improvements in his numbers by the end of the week.
Brendan did great and didn’t even cry for his checkup. We were in the spongebob room today.

Mommy smooching attack!

We had a respiratory tech visit tonight and switch Brendan’s vent back to pre-hospital settings so hopefully he will have a better night!

Year 2 – Week 33 – Day 5

Bill was in the office today so it was just me and Gramma at home with the boys. So there were no outings or anything unusual, just two people being silly to keep the two little ones entertained.

Brendan had a bad spell of low sats in the night, but he seemed to be bright eyed and ready to party today. He was very active and smiley and playful.

He has to keep an eye on that little Trevor

Gramma does a lot of reading!

Brendan got in the toy box to escape the paparazzi

Trevor wants in

They had some time this afternoon to lounge and watch cartoons

Brendan has Gramma well trained. Every time he sees her, he claps and then he knows she will clap for him. He loves clapping!

Brendan has a new trick that he learned by imitating his brother. Ribbit!!
