The day started out like most any other, except for the frantic last minute packing on my part.
Brendan had therapy today and he spent most of his time playing with stickers and paper, and doing M&M and Reeses Pieces paintings. He tried a butterscotch dum-dum today!

Brendan thinks you get things off of your head by pushing on your nose!

Now here’s the top secret plan – nobody tell Great-Grandma! Trevor and I found a fabulously low fare to Chicago and we are going to walk in to her house tomorrow morning and surprise her!! Aunt Heather K. has a big birthday this Friday to celebrate and we could not pass up the opportunity.
We are sad that Brendan could not travel yet, but he will be well loved and spoiled by his daddy and nurses while we are gone.
We got to ride the new sky trains at the airport. Trevor was impressed. Mommy was impressed by the drive-through baggage check-in!

We loaded down this stroller with lots of stuff and got on the train!

Trevor is waiting at the gate to board. He was loving watching all of the baggage “tractors” and planes.

He was SUCH a good boy on the flight. He had his iPad and his paci to help with his ears and he was all set. He played nicely and I was shocked at how well he sat in his seat. No crying at all!

We left at 65 degrees and arrived to 8 degrees! Aunt Erin picked us up and took us to Gramma’s house. I didn’t unpack my camera, but what happened when we arrived was unbridled hilarity. Trevor was squealing with giddiness over Gramma’s silly little dog and adorable cousin Caleb.
Boys were most literally bouncing off of walls, they were wound up!!
We can’t wait for the big surprise tomorrow morning, and Caleb and Trevor will have a chance to play!
It was a LONG day, we go home on Saturday so we don’t miss Bill and Brendan too much.
