Today was completely not what we would have expected. The snow came down heavily and steadily all day and made road travel treacherous. Even though my original flight took off just a few minutes late, there were big delays at the airport on most flights and I am glad we did not try to drive there today.
The biggest reason is that Trevor woke up this morning just cooking with a high fever. We made some phone calls and ended up taking him in to see Kayla and Ashley’s pediatrician. I was scared that if he had an ear infection, he would be in severe pain trying to fly home.
The doctor said his ears and throat looked perfect, no antibiotics needed. He probably has the same virus that I have been fighting all week. I am just nervous now because I don’t want Brendan to catch it, but there is no possible way to effectively quarantine Trevor, especially where we are short nurses.
After a miserable morning, Trevor took a nap and woke up in a much better mood. We are keeping up the ibuprofen and acetaminophen. Tonight he is still running a 101.5 temperature.
He was acting pretty “normal”, so we decided to attend Ashley’s piano recital so we would have a chance to say goodbye to everyone. Ashley looked beautiful and she did an excellent job! We were all very impressed!

Trevor did not want to sit and listen. He would say “I walk” and “Go go go”

He was jumping with Uncle Kevin

Last pictures with everyone since we leave tomorrow

Trevor really liked playing piano! All this time, he did not even realize that Gramma had a piano.

Brendan and Daddy stayed busy today, they didn’t take too many pictures.

I am nervous about how Trevor will be feeling tomorrow and I hope we can go safely home. I hope the weather cooperates.
