This is going to be a HUGE photo post. We took 150 pictures today and narrowing it down to the cutest ones is quite a task!

We decided to go as early as possible and take the boys to the zoo!

Cute baby geese! We got to hear the train tour pass by and the guide was giving everyone a stern lecture about backing up from the wild geese, and that if you give them Dorritos, they will fail their migration and die.

The boys were fascinated with the splash pad. If I knew it was running already, I might have packed extra clothes and towels for them. It was hot today!

Don’t tell this turkey, but we roasted a 16lb turkey at home today. We have some extras we got free at Thanksgiving time and thought the middle of April was as good of a time as any to eat turkey and stuffing. Thanks to Gramma, it came out SO tasty!!

Brendan’s turn! He was not wanting to sit on the dragon while it was still, he was going to have a huge fit. But once the ride started moving, he was interested. No smiles, but observing everything.

We were home by 11am, but it was a full day! Poor Trevor has a bad little sunburn on his cheeks and a rashy back like he is reacting from the sun. He wore his hat and sunscreen, we will have to be extra careful with his sun exposure as the summer goes on. I feel so bad!

Bill didn’t go to the zoo with us because he had a top secret project brewing in the garage that involved this stack of steel.

I can’t show result pictures yet, it isn’t finished, but it is going to be very cool!

The boys had a super busy day today. There was another reason to sit on the wall – the street sweeper came by this morning!

Then Trevor showed Gramma how he is riding his balance bike

And he explained that the basket is for swiping rocks from the neighbor’s yard

Bill came home from running errands and the boys go bonkers to play with his truck

They can not relax until every setting is changed

We are very grateful to Gramma for watching Trevor while Brendan had a nurse so that Bill and I could go out to lunch. We finally get some alone time and we had a nice meal, then we ended up doing some shopping and bought some things for the boys. 🙂

I am keeping it simple tonight. It was a long, busy day but there is not much to write about!

The boys got to share recycle day with Gramma.

They played outside, we went to Costco for a big sale, we sewed, we video chatted with Kieran and Aunt Shannon, we had our favorite fish n’ chips take-out. There were nap failures and tired emotional outbursts. There was plenty of tech time.

I can’t believe it is going to be the end of the week already!
