The first day on the road, we didn’t leave the RV park until 8:00am but we made good time. The boys did a great job in the car again, and we got back to our friends’ home in Missouri before 6:00PM.

It feels like we never left Missouri, the week went by so fast. The guinea fowl were right there begging Trevor as soon as we arrived.

Getting wiggles out before bedtime

I forgot to post these from my phone from the first day we were in town. Gramma and her boys were having their first frozen cokes together.

We are going to stretch out driving across four days this time depending on where we can find to stop. This evening’s meltdown was pretty crazy. Time for bed!

Our last day in Illinois, we can’t believe our visit is over. Because everyone was sick, we just had Gramma and Grampa Dusty to visit. We went to say goodbye to Great-Grandma too.

Trevor drove around in Caleb’s monster truck. Poor Caleb is sick now too, we hope he feels better really soon.

Trevor says he is giving the truck a “tune-up”. He told me that he put gas, oil, and wiper fluid in it and he aired up the tires.

The boys are running around like wild crazies right now, hopefully they fall asleep in the truck on the way back to the camper. We have a LOT of packing and prep to do for a morning departure.

More sick cousins today – Kayla came home from her retreat feeling a head cold coming on. We hope she gets better for the first day of school. Baby Rhys seems to have caught the bug from his mommy and is all congested and has a fever. Poor little guy, everyone in that family needs to get better and/or stay healthy. Trevor and Caleb love to play together so much and this is the second time that illness has kept them apart. 🙁 So far, Brendan and Trevor are OK.

While Brendan was stuck to his food pump, Trevor went next door to Great-Grandma’s house to play the marble game.

We went to spend some time with Aunt Beth and Uncle Steve and more cousins from Bill’s side of the family. They gave Brendan an old Buzz Lightyear and he was happy all night.

I haven’t done a great job of taking pictures of people other than the kids. Only one more day in town before we get back on the road for the long haul home.
