Year 3 – Week 48 – Day 6

To try to wear out the boys and make the day pass, I took them to Lowes and Ross and let them shop. After lunch, I thought for sure they were tired.

Just when I thought both of them were about to sleep, the doorbell rings and the medical equipment company is wanting to do a ventilator inspection. Lights on, awake babies.

I was so frustrated. I took them both, sans clothes, and loaded them in the car and drove around. We did loops all around the city freeways and burned almost a quarter tank of gas.
Trevor fell asleep almost right away, Brendan said not a chance. He did ride around peacefully and enjoy the view while I got to visit with Gramma.

Then we got kid-cones from Dairy Queen

Year 3 – Week 48 – Day 5

Things are a little better today. Brendan still has the same symptoms. I got a decent night of sleep. I had to get Trevor around 1:30am and Bill got him at 4:00am. When Bill gets up for work just before 6:00am, Trevor now wakes up just in time to take Bill’s warm spot in our bed. Better that than getting him every 15 minutes, although it will be a tough habit to break. This morning he slept until almost 8:30am!

It was a busy day with OT at the same time as oxygen refills

Bill can’t rock Brendan like he normally does so he has been reading to Trevor in his bed. Tonight they both accidentally fell asleep.

Brendan has been asleep three times, but each time I put him down, he wakes up and is very mad that I dare put him in bed. At 10:07pm as I type, he is still lying awake in bed and trying to make alarms beep by pulling apart his vent line or peeling off his pulse-ox probe. I know he is tired.
