Year 3 – Week 47 – Day 7

The throwing stuffed animals game was such a hit that we had to do it again.

All of that happened before lunch. We dropped Bill off at the outpatient surgery center. His procedure went smoothly and he was home about 5 hours later. He is doing well so far, we will see what tomorrow is like. 🙂

Brendan’s nurse Vanessa came late today and stayed through putting the boys to bed tonight. It was a big help!

Year 3 – Week 47 – Day 6

I am glad that I have spy cam photos as a back up when I just never get around to taking daily pictures. The boys spent a lot of time throwing stuffed animals back and forth from the bed to the floor today, climbing in and out themselves about 100 times.

Wednesday is going to be our new day that we don’t have a day nurse, and the days that we do, she will only work until 1:30PM. It has been a weird adjustment.

The “hurricane” amounted to 0.04 inches of rain by us, although it is not necessarily done in this area. I think it did not develop in to the power storm they were expecting here in the valley.

Year 3 – Week 47 – Day 5

We are all ready for the hurricane tomorrow – who would have thought we would even be talking about it here in the desert. The rain created here by Hurricane Norbert was record breaking. Hurricane Odile will bring heavy rains over the next few days, but hopefully it won’t be as bad. Also, I hope more people are prepared and don’t get caught off guard like the last one.
Stay off the roads!

All that rain brought us a significant mosquito population. Trevor begged and begged to go outside to dig today, but the ‘squitoes were swarming.

It is hard to stay cooped up inside, so we had to think of something different to do. I filled this bin with elbow macaroni noodles and let them do their digging. It could have been a horrendous mess, but it wasn’t.

Trevor filled and dumped trucks calmly for a solid hour.

Everyone is feeling better but symptoms persist. Brendan is hanging in there. Hopefully the worst is over for him.
